VaultX is a document management application developed by Aryan Jain. This Privacy Policy explains how VaultX handles information when you use the application.
VaultX does not require users to create an account and does not automatically collect personal information such as names, phone numbers, email addresses, or account credentials.
VaultX does not operate a server that collects or stores copies of your documents or OCR data.
Information created or imported through VaultX is primarily stored locally on the user's device.
Depending on the features you use, VaultX may store the following information locally on your device:
This information is stored locally by the application and is not automatically uploaded to a VaultX server.
VaultX may request access to the device camera when you use the document scanning feature. Camera access is used to capture document images for scanning and document creation.
Camera images captured for scanning are processed as part of the document scanning workflow and are not automatically uploaded to a VaultX server.
VaultX may access files that you explicitly select when importing documents. File access is used to import, organize, view, manage, and create documents within the application.
VaultX does not automatically upload imported files to a developer-operated server.
VaultX uses Google ML Kit Text Recognition for optical character recognition (OCR).
OCR processing used by VaultX is performed on the user's device using the on-device text recognition functionality. VaultX does not intentionally upload documents or extracted OCR text to a developer-operated server for OCR processing.
Extracted OCR text may be stored locally on the device as part of the document's data.
VaultX may provide optional biometric authentication, such as fingerprint authentication, to help protect access to the application.
Biometric authentication is handled by the Android operating system and the device's biometric security system. VaultX does not access, collect, or store the user's fingerprint, face data, or other biometric information.
VaultX may provide PIN-based application protection. Security-related preferences required for this functionality are stored locally on the user's device.
VaultX does not transmit the user's PIN or biometric information to a developer-operated server.
Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their device and keeping their authentication credentials confidential.
VaultX does not automatically sell, rent, or share user documents or personal information with third parties.
If you explicitly use VaultX's sharing functionality, the selected document is passed to the Android sharing mechanism and may be provided to the application or service that you choose to share it with. The handling of the document after it is shared is governed by the privacy policy of the receiving application or service.
VaultX uses Google ML Kit Text Recognition for OCR functionality. VaultX uses the on-device functionality of this service for text recognition.
VaultX may also rely on Android operating system functionality for features such as biometric authentication, file selection, and document sharing.
VaultX does not operate a separate backend service for storing user documents or personal information.
VaultX is designed to keep user documents and associated application data on the user's device rather than on a developer-operated server.
VaultX provides application-level security features such as PIN protection and biometric authentication. Biometric authentication is handled by the Android operating system, and VaultX does not receive or store the user's biometric data.
While VaultX takes reasonable measures to protect locally stored application data, no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should also maintain the security of their device.
VaultX does not maintain copies of user documents or OCR data on developer-operated servers.
Documents and other application data stored locally remain on the user's device until they are deleted by the user, removed through application or device storage management, or otherwise removed by the operating system.
Users can delete documents and associated data using the deletion functionality provided by VaultX. Uninstalling VaultX or clearing the application's data may also remove locally stored application data, subject to the behavior of the Android operating system and any files the user has independently stored outside the application's data.
Users have control over the documents they import, create, organize, share, and delete within VaultX.
Users can also control permissions granted to VaultX through the Android device settings.
VaultX does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because VaultX does not require an account or automatically collect personal information, it is designed to minimize the collection of user information.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to VaultX, its features, or applicable requirements. Any updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
